BUSD is a US dollar-backed stablecoin originally associated with Binance and issued by Paxos. New issuance was halted after regulatory action, so BUSD is best treated as a legacy fiat-backed stablecoin rather than an expanding dollar asset. It remains tracked on markets where existing supply continues to trade.
